About the Agency:
The proceeds of the Expanding Worlds Luncheon directly benefit LaunchAbility's Early Childhood Intervention and Supported Employment Services programs. Your support of our agency and its two progressive, State recognized, programs for children and adults with disabilities, will make it possible to expand our much-needed programs, and extend the range of our outreach.
Our Services
Early Childhood Intervention. This extensive program helps babies and toddlers, birth to age three, who have developmental delays and/or disabilities reach their maximum potential to be successful in school. After an in-depth screening and evaluation process, experts provide speech, physical and occupational therapies and instruction to children and their primary caregivers either in children’s homes or daycare facilities.
Supported Employment Services. This program matches adults with intellectual disabilities such as Down syndrome, autism spectrum disorder, and traumatic brain injury to good jobs that meet the needs of employers. Our thorough assessment and job matching, on-the-job training and unique continued support, are the reasons our Supported Employment clients experience high job retention rates. Fifty-nine percent of our clients have been on the job for five years or more.
