On Thursday, May 20, event co-chairs Kim Lewis-Gleason, Kristen Lippe and Jennifer Lott Smit gathered with their stylish committee for a meeting at the home of Elizabeth Tripplehorn. After enjoying light snacks and wine, committee members were excited to hear details about this year’s fabulous fete.

Simply Summer, Simply Shoes, the annual fundraiser benefiting Turtle Creek Recovery Center, will be held at 7 Senses in the Dallas Design District on Saturday, August 28 from 7 – 11 p.m. The evening will feature a silent auction of amazing designer shoes for men and women, along with “nearly new” styles from local fashionistas. Posh patrons can also expect specialty cocktails, a scotch bar, delicious fare by Wendy Krispin Caterer and tunes by DJ’s Jennifer Miller + Paul Paredes, voted “Best DJ in Dallas” by D magazine.
Individual tickets to Simply Summer, Simply Shoes are $125; underwriting opportunities begin at $500 - $25,000. All underwriters will be honored at a cocktail reception at the home of Amy Turner on Thursday, August 5, 2010.

About Turtle Creek Recovery Center
Turtle Creek Recovery Center is the only residential treatment program in North Texas that is wholly dedicated to serving adults with a mental illness and an addiction. Through its programs, TCRC helps hundreds of people each year to gain mental stability, sobriety, jobs and a place to live. Mental illness affects one in five families in America of all ages, race and income levels. If left untreated , an individual can suffer from unemployment, homelessness, substance abuse, incarceration and suicide.
