Casa Herradura Hosts Tequila Tasting Event in Dallas

When Tequila Herradura brought its traveling show to 6500 Cedar Springs in Dallas recently, it rivaled anything you might see from a touring theatrical production. With fancy lighting, music, interactive videos, food and Tequila tastings, the presentation took visitors through a set designed to look like Casa Herradura. It showed how the “last true tequila-producing hacienda on the planet” grows and harvests the giant Agave plants that produce the well-known liquor.

Dallas was only one stop on a seven-city tour that started in Miami and winds up in NYC May 16-17. The touring attraction introduces people who may not have an opportunity to visit Casa Herradura’s location in Mexico to the plantation’s rich history.

Visitors were invited to Taste Tequila Herradura with Tequila Historian and Tequila Herradura’s Master Taster, Ruben Aceves. Also present were Master Distiller Maria Teresa Lara, credited with introducing the first-ever Reposado in 1974 and Extra Añejo tequila in 1995. A live agave harvest demonstration with third generation Jimador Jose Cortes was also shown.

Guests were invited to try signature cocktails from local mixologist Leann Berry, unique food pairings, and the brand’s signature Horseshoe margarita infused with fresh local ingredients, all curated by Master Mixologist and Tequila Herradura’s National Brand Ambassador Kevin Vanegas. They also listened to tunes curated by Texas nightlife sensation DJ Gracie Chavez.

Tequila Herradura is an ultra-premium 100% agave tequila crafted by Casa Herradura in Amatitán, Jalisco, the last true tequila-producing hacienda on the planet and one of Mexico’s most historic and renowned tequila producers. Since 1870, Casa Herradura has been hand harvesting and estate bottling 100% agave tequila using only the most mature blue agave and artisanal methods, such as slow cooking the agave in traditional clay ovens and natural fermentation. Tequila Herradura is distilled twice and aged to perfection in American white oak barrels. Herradura Silver, Reposado, Añejo, and Extra Añejo are available throughout the U.S., Mexico, and more than 80 other countries around the world.
