Dallas Summer Musicals Curtain Call Cirque du Musicale Transformed the Music Hall at Fair Park into a Magical Evening
Dallas Summer Musicals, Inc. (DSM) 2016 Curtain Call Cirque du Musicale entertained a delighted and excited crowd with all things cirque at the Music Hall at Fair Park in April 2016.

The evening began with a red carpet arrival as gala chairs Suzanne and David Palmlund welcomed supporters along with Michael A. Jenkins, President and Managing Director, DSM and Ted Munselle, Chairman of the Board.
Guests were greeted with gourmet passed hors d’oeuvres, cocktails and colorful over-the-top fanciful decorations at the entrance, along with cirque-themed performers, photo booths and face painters which delighted guests as they enjoyed the opportunities to literally join in the party while bidding in the silent auction.
DSM’s premier fundraiser of the year, Curtain Call was an exciting evening of gourmet delights, inspiration, and entertainment! Patrons enjoyed a break from the traditional seated dinner format and were transported to a creative, cirque-influenced dining experience featuring eight vignettes of appetizers and entrees, delicious tastes and bites from a select menu prepared by M Dining at the Music Hall. All the while, performers danced, juggled and amused guests from a multi-tiered stage in the dining room.
Inside the theatre, Suzanne and David were joined by Michael Jenkins and one of the Honorary Chairs Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings, who sent a special message encouraging everyone to make Fair Park everything it can be. Micki Rawlings is also an Honorary Chair. A special show by the cirque-style performers drew rounds of applause followed by a night cap at the cabaret, dessert, and cigar lounge with dancing to the tunes of W. T. Greer.
This was a wonderful opportunity to indulge in everything patrons love about DSM, musical theatre, and share in the Magic of the Music Hall at Fair Park with closest clients, friends, and family.
Proceeds from Curtain Call support Dallas Summer Musicals’ mission to bring the Best of Broadway to Dallas and provide for children’s education and outreach programs.
Sponsor and underwriting support will bring the magic of musical theater to so many children who otherwise would never experience it through programs such as DSM High School Musical Theatre Awards, Seats for Vets, Seats for Kids, DSM Academy of Performing Arts, Kid’s Club, Hear Us Now!™, and the 2016 DSM Community Performance.
