July 1 through August 4: The Mary Kay Foundation Partners with TOOTSIES for Ninth Annual Suits for Shelters Initiative
Women’s professional clothing collected July 1 through August 4 to benefit survivors of domestic violence
The Mary Kay FoundationSM and Mary Kay Inc. will partner with TOOTSIES for its ninth annual Suits for Shelters initiative, a four-week community campaign to collect women’s professional attire.
From July 1 to August 4, 2017 any TOOTSIES shopper who brings in a donation item will receive a $25 TOOTSIES gift certificate.
Store hours: Monday through Saturday, 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Why: The Mary Kay FoundationSM is committed to preventing and ending domestic violence. A key component of ending the cycle of abuse is helping a survivor along their recovery secure employment and financial independence.
A partnership between Mary Kay Inc. and The Mary Kay FoundationSM, Suits for Shelters supports domestic violence survivors by collecting professional attire to help boost confidence and aid in job interviews as they start their new lives free from abuse. Since 2009, the program has collected more than 17,000 pieces of professional attire for women in need.
This year, the organization hopes to collect thousands of professional clothing items to benefit 12 Dallas-Fort Worth area organizations such as The Family Place, Genesis Women’s Shelter, Hope’s Door New Beginning and others who are committed to helping women live a life free from abuse..
