The Family Place Highlights the Success of the 28th Partners Card Fundraiser and Announces Plans for 2021
Dallas-based non-profit celebrates an unprecedented year and prepares for the next annual fundraiser
Following the success of its 2020 Partners Card fundraiser, Dallas-based family violence agency, The Family Place, is excited to announce plans for this year’s annual event. The 10-day shopping and dining extravaganza will take place from Friday, October 29, to Sunday, November 7, 2021 throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.
“We are so humbled by the support of our generous community who helped make this past year’s Partners Card fundraiser a huge success despite the circumstances of 2020,” shared Grace D. Fraker, Development Manager at The Family Place. “The past year has been challenging for many local businesses and non-profits. We are beyond grateful to have raised almost a million dollars with their help and participation.”
Looking ahead to this year’s 29th annual Partners Card fundraiser presented by Bank of Texas, Rachel Osburn, Caroline Snell Wagner and Jane Wallingford will take the lead as co-chairs for the iconic shopping event, with Debbie Snell as the honorary chair. The Family Place could not have asked for a better group to chair the 2021 Partners Card season.
Rachel Osburn is currently the Director of Corporate Strategy for Pegasus 727 Ventures. She is devoted to her Dallas community and is an active volunteer and supporter of several local organizations, including The Family Place.
Caroline Snell Wagner, a Dallas native, most recently served as Campaign Finance Director for Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison and has many years of fundraising experience. Caroline is an active supporter of The Family Place and is passionate about supporting women, families, and children in need. She is the daughter of Honorary Chair Debbie Snell.
Jane Wallingford is a community volunteer with diverse experience in the victim advocacy world. She has supported Partners Card for several years as an RSL volunteer and is excited to be on board this year as a fundraiser chair.
Honorary Chair Debbie Snell has been a supporter of The Family Place for over 20 years and is the mother of Caroline Snell Wagner. Since Co-Chairing Partners Card in 1997, she has sold over 600 Partners Cards, raising over $40,000 for The Family Place. Mrs. Snell has been involved in many local organizations, including Junior League of Dallas and Crystal Charity Ball, has chaired events such as the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society Luncheon and Baylor’s Celebrating Women Luncheon, and has served on the Boards of Children’s Medical Center Auxiliary and Center for Brain Health. Mrs. Snell is thrilled to be Partners Card Honorary Chair this year alongside her daughter, Caroline, as one of the 2021 Co-Chairs.
Other top returning sponsors include Audi Dallas, NorthPark Center, Becky Frey Real Estate and Highland Park Village as of now.
Leading up to October 29, shoppers can purchase a Partners Card this year for $75. A Partners Card purchase grants a 20% discount at retailers and a 10% discount at restaurants during the 10-day event. The purchase of a $75 Partners Card pays for one night of safety at The Family Place. Additionally, 100% of a Partners Card purchase directly supports The Family Place programs and services of family violence. Partners Cards go on sale September 1, 2021.
While challenged by the COVID-19 pandemic, the 28th annual Partners Card fundraiser was a huge success due to all participating retailers, sponsors, shoppers, and volunteers. More than 550 stores and restaurants in the DFW area, 50 of which were new Partners Card retailers, participated in the 2020 event. Over 100 online shopping brands participated, as well. The money raised will provide 12,682 nights of shelter at The Family Place.
“Our goal last year was to bring on more online brands so that shoppers could participate safely during the pandemic. We had a larger e-commerce participation than ever before, and we are hoping to continue that this year,” shared Grace Fraker, Development Manager at The Family Place.
Retailers and sponsors can sign up for Partners Card now and find out more information on www.partnerscard.org.
