Harper’s Open August 5
New Globally Inspired Restaurant – Harper’s –
Makes its Highly Anticipated Deep Ellum Debut
The new elevated dining destination is opening at The Epic on Aug. 5
Dallasites will experience familiar and worldly fare when Milkshake Concepts’ striking new restaurant – Harper’s – opens its doors for dinner on Aug. 5.
Located at 2525 Elm St. in the new Epic development – nestled between Deep Ellum and Downtown – the 7,655-square-foot restaurant features an alluring atmosphere with dark wood, bold accents and striking light fixtures with a beautifully lit, fully enclosable patio that’s perfect for brunch and makes guests feel like they’re dining in a night garden after dark.
Led by a distinguished group of Dallas restauranteurs – Co-Founders of Milkshake Concepts Imran Sheikh, James Faller and Asim Sheikh; General Manager Pierce Everett; Bar Manager Kamakana (KK) Holly and Executive Chef Jacob Williamson – Harper’s elevated menu draws on wanderlust through its globally inspired cuisine and handcrafted cocktails. Guests can explore worldly flavors intertwined with American roots through gourmet fare, such as Peruvian Anticucho Beef Sticks, Burmese Tea Leaf Salad and Texas Wagyu Tomahawk made with miso compound butter. For brunch, set to launch later in the month, guests can expect dishes such as Japanese Pancakes, Whole Lobster Benedict and more familiar favorites like Steak & Eggs.
The cocktail program is just as enlightening with eye-catching elixirs. Craft cocktails include the Barcelona Pick Pocket, a twist on the classic Old Fashioned using Glenmorangie 10-year scotch, Italian Ramazzotti Amaro, lavender bitters, 33 secret spices and Manchego garnish; Tale of Two Cities, made with Teremana Reposado, Madagascar vanilla reduction and Faust Cabernet; and the “Awesome” Martini, a colorless espresso martini with a myriad of ingredients and a sense of mystery behind its name and making.
Milkshake Concepts signed on to open in the anchor space at the foot of the Hamilton building in The Epic back in 2019. This desirable location is across from the newly opened Pitman Hotel and adjacent to an upcoming outpost of Komodo, leased by Groot Hospitality based in Miami.
“We sought to develop a brand that delivered the ambience of a restaurant’s bar area along with the exceptional food, drinks and service you expect of a high-end dining room,” Sheikh said. “Harper’s was designed with that in mind, and we felt that The Epic was the ideal location for the flagship. Everything about Harper’s, from its vibrant ambiance to the elevated cuisine, is designed to stand out.The level of culinary, mixology and operational prowess on the Harper’s team is truly impressive, and we’re prepared to deliver a stellar experience that quickly becomes a Dallas favorite.”
Harper’s will be ideal for business and social dinners, date nights, happy hour, late night drinks and momentous celebrations. The team is focused on creating a personalized experience for every guest and party, welcoming them like “Harper” would in her home.
“There is a seismic shift occurring in the area, and we want to be at the epicenter of it,” Sheikh continued. “Beyond having our head office and three other concepts in what I consider ‘Deep Ellum proper,’ we have also recently re-located Citizen to the new entertainment district on Good Latimer and believe a cluster of great restaurants will emerge both at the Epic and at other exciting developments, such as East Quarter, just behind us. We believe Harper’s will satiate a demand for not only culinary excellence and immaculate service, but a great atmosphere and energy.”
Harper’s will open for dinner daily, with plans to add lunch and brunch in due time. Reservations are highly encouraged and can be made here. For more information, visit harpersdallas.com or follow Harper’s on Instagram.
