As the country approaches the 21st anniversary of September 11, 2001, Milestone, the local home service company, is providing their technicians and team members with paid time out of their workday to remember 9/11 and honor all who lost their lives through their 4th annual 9.11 Memorial Stair Climb.

The event is a 110 story Stair Climb at the Texas Rangers’ historical stadium. For each team member who participates, Milestone is contributing $50 to the Guns & Hoses Foundation of North Texas. There is limited space for former and active military personnel and first responders to join the Milestone team in the climb. To register, donate to the Stair Climb initiative or for more information, please contact Britton Swanson at  britton@callmilestone.com or 469.442.9397.

The 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb is a way to remember that day in 2001, extend an arm of condolence and support to those affected, and honor those first responders who made the ultimate sacrifice. All participants will climb 2,071 steps, the equivalent of 110 stories. 9/11/01 will forever serve as the most poignant example and reminder of what only few are willing to do for all: live and give their lives in the service of others.

“Giving back to the community has always been a passion at Milestone. We feel it is important to support the people that gave so much of themselves to protecting others and what better way to do this than through bringing attention to and supporting the charities whose mission it is to help and support first responders.”, says Gus Antos, Co-Founder, Milestone Home Service Company.

The 9.11 Memorial Stair Climb started in 2019 on a 3-stair stepper machine at a local gym. In 2020, the event was moved to Dickies Arena with about 35 Milestone technicians participating. In 2021, the Stair Climb was moved to Choctaw Stadium with around 65 technicians plus team members. Milestone began donating per climber and donated a total of $3,000 to a New York nonprofit that helps the families still affected by 9/11.

This year Milestone expects 150-250 climbers and is guaranteeing a $10,000 donation, with $50 per climber donated to a local nonprofit Guns & Hoses Foundation. Guns & Hoses was chosen due to recent events and the impact the organization is making on this community.

Milestone proudly supports the military and first responders who serve and protect our community with honor and excellence. Additionally, hiring U.S. veterans and providing paid training to aid their entrance back into the workforce is at the heart of the company
