Beloved Dallas restaurant Al Biernat’s is thrilled to announce the promotion of Lexis Nutt to General Manager of Al Biernat’s Oak Lawn. Nutt now serves as the first female General Manager at Al Biernat’s.

Nutt grew up in a sports family as a coach’s daughter alongside two brothers. Growing up in sports helped set her up for success in many ways, including how to build a team, deal with both wins and losses, and how to bring out the best qualities and attributes in people.

Originally from Arkansas, Nutt attended Southeast Missouri State University and moved to Los Angeles after college. She missed the southern hospitality that she grew up with and decided to set off on another adventure which led her to Dallas in 2016 in the pursuit of endless opportunity.  After taking the leap of faith and moving to Dallas, she started a career in real estate while working at Al Biernat’s part-time.

After six months, Nutt asked to join the Al Biernat’s team full-time as she loved the culture and being surrounded by an incredible team every day. After serving as an Al Biernat’s manager for two years, Al pushed her to step into the next step in her career, as he had unwavering confidence in Nutt’s abilities.

“We are honored to have Lexis in this new role at Al Biernat’s,” Brad Fuller, Al Biernat’s Director of Operations said. “She has been a vital member of our Al’s family for several years. Lexis is a great team leader and brings new ideas to help our business grow year after year. We are excited to see all she will accomplish in this new position.”

Just like her father, Nutt prepares her team each day as if they were getting ready for a big game.  She understands the importance of preparing her team in order to set them up for success. She brings the energy to each shift, so she can motivate her team and know that together they can tackle the day, no matter what they face.

She loves the endless potential working at Al’s provides and is appreciative of the constant opportunity to learn and grow on a day-to-day basis. Nutt loves the creative aspect of her job and how the door is never closed to new ideas. “If you have a vision, you can make it a reality. As long as your idea makes it better for the restaurant and the staff, you can make it happen,” Nutt said.

Al Biernat’s has a dynamic team of female managers at both their North and Oak Lawn locations. Rebecca Buford started working at Al Biernat’s in 2019 and is currently their Private Events Coordinator. Buford enjoys using her creativity to grow Al Biernat’s social media presence and work on various fun new projects to provide a hospitable and pristine experience for all guests. Tina Beard joined the Al Biernat’s North team in 2021 and is now a manager at Al Biernat’s North. Beard has a wealth of knowledge and experience within the hospitality industry and has the communication skills, patience, and background to offer guests a seamless event.
