Live to Give, a newly formed Dallas-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit, hosted their official Announcement Party at the fabulous Lone Star Mansion, welcoming supporters from not only Dallas and Fort Worth, but also from California, New York and Florida.

The  Sunday champagne brunch welcomed guests with a glass of Rosé from sponsor Hampton Waters, followed by an endless array of gourmet delights, including an incredible fruit and veggie spread, chipotle shrimp and Oaxaca cheese empanadas, prosciutto ricotta toast with caramelized apples bruschetta, bacon wrapped jalapeno poppers, everyone’s favorite, chicken and waffles, a made-to-order omelet bar, and a sublime special treat, the very popular savory and sweet crepes dessert station.

Before the presentation, guests enjoyed the buffet and exploring the 20-acre estate that featured a private lake, a grand honeymoon suite, a man cave with a steam room, a wraparound balcony, two sitting rooms and a multitude of other grand features, before the program began. At poolside, guests were also treated to a special tasting from Zamora Liquor Brands specially featuring Yellow Rosé and Mezcal.

Joining Scott Tennant, Founder and Chair of Live To Give, and his husband, Keith Yonick, a board member, were board members Kimberly Elliott, Vice Chair-Sponsorship, Marketing and Events; Kelly Hanna, Vice Chair-Public Relations, Social Media and Community Affairs; Melanie Rice, Vice Chair-Treasurer, Underwriting and Implementation.

This nonprofit was formed in July 2022 and just last August, spearheaded a spontaneous fundraising campaign that produced incredible results which were announced at this brunch to a rousing standing ovation, smiles and tears. During a four-day campaign, this brand-new charity raised a significant $160,000 to benefit the initial three of Live to Give beneficiaries: Horses: Believe Ranch and Rescue; Humans: Rally Project (Veterans), and Hounds: To the Rescue TV. At a recent check presentation event, each beneficiary was awarded $45,000 for the specific use of continuing their individual missions of supporting Veterans and their care. There was also an additional $25,000 presented to Rally Project for the purpose of the designated Medical/PTSD care for Veterans.
