One of the most interesting highlights of membership in Preservation Park Cities is the Education Meetings where members mix and mingle getting to know each other, make connections and featured speakers share ideas, thoughts, experiences and expertise about a variety of topics.

The most recent meeting was hosted by Cheryl and Sam Chantillis in their lovingly renovated Highland Park home. Chaired by Lisa Henderson and Katie Walters, the meeting featured interior designer Hillary Littlejohn of her namesake firm HL Studio Design. Lisa and Katie welcomed guests with the hosts and Alisa Sell, president of Preservation Park Cities, as everyone enjoyed wines, refreshments and passed hors d’oeuvres.
Joining in the event were Lucinda Buford, Margaret and Tom Chambers, Christina Dandar, Lesley and Burton Rhodes, Craig Sell and more.

As the presentations began, Cheryl and Sam treated the crowd to the history of their home and the behind-the-scenes stories about the renovations they made and some of the original aspects that are still in their home.
Hillary thanked the Chantillises for their generous hospitality in hosting this evening’s meeting and began her presentation as she spoke about the most prevalent architectural styles past and present in Highland Park and University Park and the leaders who change and continue to blaze a path of exceptional residential design. She encouraged everyone to rethink luxury in terms of architecture and showcased an informative slideshow which showed details of these styles that make them specific to their genre.
