There was an excited buzz in the air as guests, sponsors, underwriters and members of The Runway Report Silver Anniversary Luncheon and Fashion Show Celebrating 25 Years of Giving With Style as beneficiary organizations gathered together at the home of hosts Jolie and Bart Humphrey for the check presentations.

Along with the Humphreys, greeting guests were Monica Cooley, 2024 president, luncheon chairs Claire Catrino and Kaleta Blaffer Johnson, along with honorary chair, Lauryn Gayle White and Natalie Taylor, representing the presenting sponsors Sam and Helga Feldman Foundation.

As everyone enjoyed the sumptuous buffet and hors d’oeuvres and champagne were passed, they chatted about the successful luncheon and congratulations were given all around. Guests joining in the celebration included AB Aston, Barbara Bigham, Terri Bumgarner, Martha Cox, Suzette Derrick, Barbara Dianis, Cindy Hanson, Deborah McKeever, Dyann Skelton, Niki Turner, Patty Jo and John Turner, Stacey Wiggins and more.
Monica welcomed guests and thanked the hosts for their generous hospitality. She said tonight is what KidneyTexas is all about, meeting its fundraising goal and distributing the funds to the luncheon beneficiaries. She reminded everyone that every dollar raised from the luncheon stays in north Texas to fund projects that support our local communities right here “at home.” Thanking Claire and Kaleta for their leadership, Monica said she is proud of the chairs for how they worked so very hard over the past year and more to accomplish their goals.

Claire and Kaleta thanked Lauryn Gayle White for her unwavering support as the luncheon’s honorary chair; Natalie Taylor representing the presenting sponsors Sam and Helga Feldman Foundation for the presenting sponsorship and award recipients Donna Arp Weitzman, Sue Goodnight Award; Barbara Bigham, Lifetime Achievement Award; Raymond Quigley, MD, Everson Walls Legacy Award; Emilynn Wilson and her late husband, Claude Wilson, 25th Anniversary Award honorees.
Monica, Claire and Kaleta presented checks to representatives from luncheon beneficiaries National Kidney Foundation/Camp Reynal, Baylor Scott and White Health Foundation, Texas Health Resources Foundation, Southwest Transplant Alliance, Children’s Medical Center Foundation and Methodist Health System Foundation.
