Glennon Doyle Melton is the author of the New York Times bestselling memoir Carry On, Warrior, and the newly released best seller, Love Warrior. Glennon is also the founder of Momastery, an online community reaching millions of people each week. She is the founder of Together Rising—a nonprofit organization that has raised over four million dollars for families around the world through its Love Flash Mobs, which have revolutionized online giving. Glennon’s recently released book, Love Warrior, has been endorsed by Brené Brown and is already on Oprah’s Book Club list.
The Pot of Gold Luncheon is an annual fundraiser held in the spring to support Rainbow Days’ programs and services for vulnerable, at-risk children and youth facing adversity in our community. Children living in poverty and experiencing other adverse situations are the least likely to possess essential coping and social skills or the emotional and social support necessary to overcome traumatic stress and succeed in spite of adversity. Today, one in four children live in poverty; 75.6% of public school students in Dallas County qualify for free or reduced-fee meals; one in five children and adolescents are affected by an emotional disturbance or alcohol/drug addiction. Each year, this celebratory event – through table sponsorships, ticket sales, a silent auction, chance drawing, and generous donations – raises over $275,000 to benefit over 11,000 children and families in the Dallas area.
Individual tickets begin at $150 each. Sponsor individual tickets are $200 each and include the sponsor reception. Sponsorships and underwriting are $10,000 Diamond, $7,500 Platinum, $5,000 Gold, $3,000 Silver, $1,500 Bronze.
