Tickets Still Available for Adults-Only Social Science: Engine-Uity Event on Friday, Jan. 24, From 7-11 P.M. at The Perot Museum of Nature and Science

How would you fare trapped on a deserted island? Can you improvise a spacesuit? Find out at Social Science: ENGine-uity on Friday, Jan. 24, from 7-11 p.m. at the Perot Museum of Nature and Science. Adults can enjoy a creative and competitive night honing their math, science and engineering skills to tackle fun challenges, all while sipping cocktails, dancing and perusing the Perot kid-free.

From coding your way out of a hypothetical human-versus-bear square off to combatting contagions, Social Science will have guests tapping their frontal lobes throughout the night “MacGyver-ing” heist traps, learning how to make clean water as a castaway and trying not to get eaten in a Jurassic dinosaur feeding challenge.

Local entrepreneurs will be on hand pitching their ideas and inventions Shark Tank-style to a panel of judges for a chance to win prizes. Wolfgang Puck will serve up tasty bites and libations including the signature “Mechanical Mule” cocktail, and DJ Kelly Hooper of Bill Cody’s Party Time Texas will provide the beats.

Tickets are $20 for members and $29 for non-members. Guests must be 21 years of age with valid ID. For a full schedule and to purchase tickets in advance, go to perotmuseum.org.

Social Science is supported by Highland Capital Management, with Park Place Dealerships as the automotive sponsor. Please drink responsibly.
