It was a very special evening for AWARE’s Executive Committee, Committee Chairs and guests to join Ramon Longoria of SieMatic in the Dallas Design District, Chef Giuliano Matarese and Tiziana Cosentino of Mille Lire and Michael Galluccio, CSW of Southern Glazers Wine & Spirits, as hosts for an exclusive cooking experience at SieMatic in what Chef Matarese dubbed “the Ferrari of a kitchen.”

Galluccio poured the wines as guests such as Jolie Humphrey, president of AWARE and her husband, Bart were joined by Kersten Rettig and her husband, Clark Knippers, AWARE Affair gala chairs; Stacey Angel, Janet and Jack Broyles, Barbara Glass, Carol Stabler, and more.

The crowd gathered around as Chef Matarese took center stage at the helm of the luxury kitchen, making ready to prepare his exquisite truffle risotto. Detailing each step of his demonstration with flair and insights on his choice of ingredients, sourcing and how each action is accomplished, he treated everyone to a slice of aromatic truffle.  Chef gladly answered many questions during his preparation and after many ooohs and aaaahs, the absolutely delicious risotto was served, topped off with handfuls of truffles, which was met rounds of applause.
