Dallas Music Network (DMN) announces the launch of its Artist Accelerator Program by featuring “LE” (Lauren Elizabeth Ward) in a free live event. The event will premiere LE’s feature on the Dallas Music Network Spotlight film series, followed by a live performance and the debut of LE’s original jazz EP “Defining LE.”
Dallas Music Network (DMN) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization originally founded in March 2020 to help local artists expand their audiences through live streaming during the pandemic shutdowns. Now in its 5th Season, Dallas Music Network has featured over 400 local musicians, amassed over 4 million streams, and invested in excess of 1 million dollars in produced films and promotion to aid the DFW music community.
DMN’s mission is best expressed by DMN’s co-founder and Executive Director Beverly Perry: “We focus on musicians’ financial sustainability by building their fanbase and creating quality digital assets for submission to paid opportunities. Now, with the new Artist Accelerator Program, we aim to help talented singers become singer-songwriters, bringing their original songs to fully produced assets they can monetize.”
Marcus Roberts, professional musician and DMN’s Director of Artist Development began working with LE on song development in December 2022. In April 2022, DMN recorded LE’s 7-song original EP, produced by Roberts at the new Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts recording studio. Fellow student instrumentalists on the EP include Adarian Roberts (17), Laesio Littlejohn (16), Garrett Rodriguez (16), Camden Anthony (18), Donovan Taylor (17), and Booker T. Washington HSVPA hopeful Mike Pugh, Jr. (13). LE’s student band will perform live at the “Defining LE” launch event.
