KidneyTexas, Inc. The Runway Report Luncheon and Style Show Private Soirée Reveals Stunning Donation by Bachendorf’s

          (May 22, 2015 – Dallas, TX) KidneyTexas, Inc. board members and The Runway Report Luncheon and Style Show committee and supporters were celebrated at a private soirée hosted by the Bock Family and Patron magazine at the Bock Company’s headquarters in Preston Center recently.
Lawrence Bock welcomed everyone and introduced Therese Rourk, president of KidneyTexas, Inc. who recognized luncheon chairs Donna Arp Weitzman and Mary Lee Cox. A round of applause resounded in the room as Donna revealed a most generous donation to the luncheon’s live auction by Bachendorf’s: an exclusive 18 karat yellow gold and diamond bracelet valued at $20,500.
Enjoying champagne provided by Armand de Brignac, the wonderful hors d’oeuvres and cocktails provided by Priceless Catering and joining in the celebration were honorary chairs Robin and Norm Bagwell, Goodnight Service Award recipient Patty Jo Turner, fashion show producer Jan Strimple, Katy Bock, KidneyTexas, Inc. president-elect Anna Bland Aston, Annalee Aston,  media sponsor Modern Luxury Dallas and more.


The public is welcome to join KidneyTexas, Inc. supporters at The Runway Report luncheon and style show on Tuesday, September 22nd at Brook Hollow Golf Club as the morning begins with a champagne reception and silent auction.
Ron Corning, of WFAA Daybreak and emcee will introduce the fabulous fashion show featuring the latest styles from fashion show sponsors Carla Martinengo, Lublu, St. John at Highland Park Village, Tootsies and Vintage Martini. The fashion show, produced by Jan Strimple, will be five scenes of professional models modeling fashions from these fabulous shops. Pockets Menswear is graciously providing menswear for the pre-show. The live auction will surely top off the morning with an exciting finish and afterwards, everyone is treated to a delicious luncheon.
  Joining the Bagwells as honorary chairs are Vinette and Michael Montgomery, along with Gretchen Minyard Williams and Liz Minyard Lokey.

Mission Statement: The purpose of KidneyTexas, Inc. is to provide funding to improve the methods of treatment, the search for a cure and prevention of kidney disease and other kindred or contributory diseases; and to develop more adequate provision for the care of persons suffering from such diseases.

Statistics: Debilitating kidney diseases impact approximately 20 million people in the United States today. Groups at high risk include African Americans, Hispanics, senior citizens and people with diabetes. In Texas, there are over 30,000 people on dialysis and 4,000 on a transplant list. The number of patients on dialysis is anticipated to double this decade.
