Country Music Artists Turned Construction and Design Professionals Kerry Harvick and David Kersh Win HGTV’s “Battle on the Beach” Home-Improvement Showdown

Local musicians turned construction and design professionals Kerry Harvick and David Kersh’s motto has always been to Dream Big and Live your Dream. They never imagined they would end up doing what they love on HGTV’s reality show “Battle on the Beach” where they won the intense competition.
“Battle on the Beach” is HGTV’s new renovation/competition series featuring HGTV fan-Faves Alison Victoria, Ty Pennington, Mike Holmes, and Mina Starsiak-Hawk as well as Food Network’s Taniya Nayak. With guidance from the HGTV pros, three teams of house flippers bring their best game as they vie for a $50,000 prize in an intense home-improvement showdown.
“It has been an absolute dream to be in the mix of such great company with the design stars and have them love your work.”, says Kerry Harvick.
Owners of Kersh Real Estate in Comanche, TX and Kersh Real Estate and Home Design in Stephenville, TX, this husband-and-wife power team met while living the dream in Nashville, TN working as musicians. They both had record deals and were out touring the country. After a successful run in the music industry, they decided to return to their roots in Texas and moved to Kerry’s hometown of Comanche where they purchased a real estate business and their adventure into construction and design began. They went from selling houses to flipping houses, then to building houses and designing them. They live on a private lake outside of Austin, TX with their two children Slade 6 and Sienna 10 who are the joy of their lives.
“This is a dream, to be able to create, build and renovate and then be able to share it with the world for a living.”, says, David Kersh.
