The Auxiliary of Nexus Recovery Center president, Lauren Gillette, has announced the 2021-2022 board and new events for 2021 and 2022!

“We are delighted to announce our new 2021-2022 board and look forward to new events and welcoming new members,” Lauren said. “We would like everyone to know that their support is most appreciated. Auxiliary members serve Nexus Recovery Center not only in fundraising, but also as volunteers with many opportunities to become involved. We gather clothing and essential items for Nexus clients and their children, coordinate and plan small gatherings and special events on-site with the clients and their children including a Halloween Party, Holiday Party and Spring Party (COVID-19 protocols all in place), participate in educational activities, support the staff Zen Den and much more.  We hope our friends and neighbors will join us now! This is going to be an exciting year!”

The Auxiliary also supports the new fundraiser Holidays at Nexus happening December 1 through 31 where sponsors and underwriters can adopt a family or a client for the holidays. Launching in 2022 is the Auxiliary’s largest fundraiser, the Mother’s Day Brunch happening on May 7, 2022. Details for the Mother’s Day Brunch are in the works, but the Auxiliary promises a multi-generational experience celebrating the very special women in our lives.
