On Tuesday, September 20, Recovery Resource Council presented an evening featuring Country music star, Scotty Alexander at the famed Kessler Theater. Scotty is a Texas country singer/songwriter who is nominated as “Fiddler of the Year” in this year’s Texas Country Music Awards. His high-energy stage show of classic Country sounds had attendees’ toes tappin’ and everyone’s iPhones in the air recording clips for social media.

As a long-time touring musician Scotty spoke about the friends and colleagues in the entertainment industry he has seen struggle with alcoholism and drug abuse, as well as his members of own family. A silent auction was held in the lobby prior to the show for attendees to give additional support to the event.

After the concert, Scotty stayed and took selfies and signed merchandise until the last guest had moseyed on home. Proceeds from this event will benefit the Recovery Resource Council, North Texas’ largest non-residential non-profit organization dedicated to the prevention, intervention, treatment and recovery of thousands of individuals and families struggling with alcohol, substance misuse and trauma. https://recoverycouncil.org/
