There was an excited buzz in the air as guests, sponsors, underwriters and members of the Runway Report 2023 Luncheon and Fashion Show Cultivate and Educate beneficiary organizations gathered together at the home of Cindy and Michael Rosenthal for the check presentations.

Nancy welcomed guests and thanked the hosts for their generous hospitality. She said tonight is what KidneyTexas, Inc. is all about, meeting its fundraising goal and distributing the funds to the luncheon beneficiaries. She reminded everyone that funds raised from the luncheon stay in north Texas and about the Kidney Kids Christmas Gift drive and urged them to donate. Thanking Venise for her leadership, Nancy said that over 8,000 people in Texas are on the kidney donor list and she is proud how Venise worked so very hard over the past year and more to accomplish her goals.

Venise thanked Cindy Feld as the luncheon’s honorary chair, Everson Walls Legacy Award Honoree, Crissy Perham; Sue Goodnight Service Award Honoree, Charlotte Kimberlin and Lifetime Community Achievement Award Honoree, Scott Murray.

Both Venise and Nancy presented checks to representatives from the luncheon beneficiaries Camp Reynal-National Kidney Foundation, Children’s Medical Center Foundation, Methodist Health System Foundation and Texas Health Resources Foundation.

In a surprise statement of personal commitment and gratitude, Michael Rosenthal, this evening’s host with his wife, Cindy, said that it was a pleasure to have everyone join in this evening’s celebration and thanked them for their commitment to KidneyTexas, Inc., saying that since his kidney transplant in 2003, over 20 years ago, he is healthy and active and that he is honored to support KidneyTexas, Inc. and all it does.
