Dec My Room Hosts Sixth Annual Room To Grow Luncheon and Fashion Presentation at Neiman Marcus NorthPark Center

 Dec My Room’s North Texas Chapter announces its sixth annual Room to Grow Luncheon and Fashion Presentation whichwill be heldon Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in the Neiman Marcus Courtyard at NorthPark Center. Proceeds from the event will benefit Dec My Room, Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of children who are being admitted into a hospital for a prolonged amount of time.

Co-chaired by Jane Rozelle Humphrey and Vodi Cook Meagher, the 2024 Room to Grow Luncheon will include a reception, luxury item raffle, silent auction, and a seated luncheon. Moll Anderson, The New York Times bestselling author and inspirational home and lifestyle expert, and Sally LAPOINTE, New York-based fashion designer, will present the newest and most remarkable spring fashions from the luxurious LaPointe Spring/Summer 2024 line and sweets will follow the event on Level Two of Neiman Marcus NorthPark.  Dawn Greiner serves as this year’s Honorary Chair.  Dawn’s selfless spirit and unending energy have supported the charity since 2017.

The charity will also recognize patient, Christopher Schuette, with the 2024 Celebrate Flight Award, whose experience and actions epitomize Dec My Room’s mission. Christopher was diagnosed with aplastic anemia in 2019. His aggressive and successful medical treatment was followed by a bone marrow transplant in July 2023. His hospital room was inspired by his love for nature, computer science and Broadway. This year’s Award is well earned by Christopher’s creative, fighting spirit!

Dec My Room will also present Kimberly Schlegel Whitman with the inaugural Monarch Servant Heart Award, for being one of the charities most steadfast supporters and longtime Fashion Co-Presenters. Serving as the Fashion and Lifestyle Ambassador for NorthPark, Kim has always represented the warm and supportive heart of the charity and fundraiser.
