October 16: LEAP Global Missions 2025 Gala Miracles in Motion

LEAP Global Missions is honored to present its 2025 gala, Miracles in Motion happening on Thursday, October 16 at a local private club. Co-Chairs Stephanie and Michael Byrd along with Dr. Michael Lee, have signed Babe Laufenberg as the featured speaker. Jane Slater, emcee, is a journalist and reporter for the NFL Network.
This event is LEAP’s only major annual fundraiser. It raises funds to support the organization and help continue providing free specialized surgical and medical care to those in need around the world.
The evening begins with a reception featuring cocktails and hors d’oeuvres followed by a three-course seated dinner, presentation, auction, and sharing news of past and ongoing missions and updates on future plans.
Laufenberg is a longtime friend and supporter of LEAP. He played eight years as a quarterback in the National Football League. Originally drafted by the Washington Commanders in 1983, he finished his playing career with the Dallas Cowboys in 1990. He went on to be the main sports anchor at CBS 11 DFW for 17 years and is in his 28th year as the analyst for the Dallas Cowboys Radio Network.
Slater is a reporter for NFL Network, appearing on several shows such as “The Insiders” and “NFL GameDay Morning.” Prior to joining NFL Network in 2016, Jane worked for ESPN as an anchor and sideline reporter for the Longhorn Network. She also worked on the College World Series and college football games for the SEC Network and ESPN. Slater started her career in radio, where she worked for KTVT CBS 11, KRLD News Radio, WFAA Ch. 8, and 105.3 The Fan in the Dallas region (Source: NFL.com)
