Velocity | Sim Racing Lounge Hits Full Throttle with Dallas Grand Opening
North America’s largest virtual driving venue debuts with simulation racing action, exclusive giveaways and high-octane entertainment
Velocity | Sim Racing Lounge is shifting into high gear as the immersive hospitality concept welcomes guests to its first Dallas location on Saturday, July 25, bringing together motorsports culture, chef-curated dining and social connection in a way that extends far beyond the driver’s seat.
Located at 9830 N. Central Expressway, Suite 400, within The Hill shopping center, Velocity will kick off festivities at 10 a.m. with a car meet, live DJ and its first Dallas sim racing tournament, where competitors will go head-to-head for trophies, prizes and ultimate bragging rights. Every guest in attendance will receive a branded keychain, while hourly raffles give guests the chance to win hoodies, T-shirts and more.
Qualifying sessions for the grand opening tournament will run from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., with entry fees starting at $25. The fastest competitors will advance to the championship race from 1 to 1:30 p.m., followed by a podium ceremony and prize presentation recognizing the day’s top drivers. Following the celebration, regular service will begin at 2:30 p.m., with reservations available online and walk-ins welcome.
“Velocity is all about building community through a shared passion for cars and racing,” said Viet Tran, founder of Velocity | Sim Racing Lounge. “The simulators will bring people through the doors, but it’s everything around them that makes them stay. We’re creating an environment where people can connect, share a great meal, celebrate milestones and be part of something bigger than what’s happening behind the wheel.”
Velocity uniquely pushes its immersive concept far beyond the simulator. Guests can put their skills to the test across more than 30 state-of-the-art racing rigs, follow friends driving in real time from the venue’s massive TV wall or settle in at the central bar for watch parties, elevated dining and cocktails. Together, those elements help turn a visit into a full evening out.
“Whether someone is joining us for a family outing, catching up over dinner, attending a themed event or chasing a spot on the podium, we want every visit to feel different,” added Tran. “We’re proud to see that vision come to life in Dallas and excited to be a part of the community.”
The Dallas location places a heightened emphasis on its culinary program, with a globally inspired menu that complements every part of the experience. From grabbing quick bites between races to full evenings spent around the table, guests will find thoughtfully crafted dishes that go beyond typical entertainment fare.
The menu features shareable appetizers, protein-packed entrees, handheld favorites and desserts, including Warm Feta Dip, Crispy Coconut Shrimp, Mediterranean Steak Tacos, Angus Flatiron & Frites and Apple Turnovers, along with vegetarian-friendly options like cauliflower wings and Crispy Avocado Tacos.
Velocity | Sim Racing Lounge – Dallas will operate Monday through Thursday from noon to 11 p.m. and Friday from noon to midnight, Saturday from 11 a.m. to midnight, and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
