It was a sold out affair at the Friends of AWARE luncheon at the Belmont Village Senior Living Turtle Creek on Hall Street featuring Heidi Rossetti, PhD ABPP-CNN and Molly Camp, MD as speakers.
Welcoming guests on keyboards was Mark Harris from @texaswindsmusicaloutreach, an AWARE Grant Recipient, who was also joined in comments by Meghan Gomen.

Mari Epperson, President-Elect, AWARE North Texas, welcomed guests and introduced Lisa Mach who gave insight on Belmont Senior Living and their vast offerings.
Sharon Ballew invited Friends to join the Host Committee for the 2027 AWARE Affair happening Spring 2027.

After the invocation by Karen Koop, representatives from Dallas Police Department gave insight into their Tips and Tricks to prevent fraud, along with links to helpful resources for seniors.
It was a very interesting conversation with the featured speakers on Aging with Dementia and many ways to help navigate what can be very delicate waters of having “the talk” with seniors, what to say, how to make everyone comfortable, cognitive screening, updated medications and more.

About AWARE North Texas: AWARE North Texas is a nonprofit organization that empowers North Texans to rise above the challenges of Alzheimer’s and other dementias together.
Since AWARE’s founding in 1989 by a group of volunteers, the Dallas-based organization has invested more than $15 million in local providers, researchers and innovators fighting for our loved ones and a cure. Every dollar that AWARE grants stays in North Texas to benefit the local community.
AWARE North Texas also invites North Texans who care about those who have been impacted by Alzheimer’s and other dementias to join Friends of AWARE – a community of individuals, caregivers and professionals with a vested interest in supporting the best care in our region today and hope for a cure tomorrow. Individuals navigating the challenges of these diseases – including patients, caregivers and professionals – connect, learn and advocate for solutions in North Texas.
