Sat. Feb. 6: The 6th Annual Bonne Santé: A Wine and Food Showcase benefiting the National Kidney Foundation
Bring your family and friends and join in this exciting evening at the 6th Annual Bonne Santé, a Wine and Food Showcase benefiting the National Kidney Foundation on Saturday, February 6, 2016 at the Westin Galleria Dallas.
Bonne Santé was launched in the summer of 2010 by the National Kidney Foundation Serving Texas and acclaimed Chefs Scott Gottlich of The Second Floor and 18th & Vine and William Koval of Lakewood Country Club. Each year the event has continued to grow with the support of chefs and the community.
Both Scott and William are all too familiar with kidney disease. Chef Gottlich’s sister, Stephanie, underwent a kidney transplant in 2009. Following her successful procedure, Scott and Stephanie had a vested interest in supporting the National Kidney Foundation, so that others who are not as fortunate can have the same thoughtful care, support and encouragement as they were given. Scott’s wife, Gina, serves as Sommelier for Bonne Santé.
Chef Koval leaned on the National Kidney Foundation during a trying time when his son was born with only one kidney. Today, with his healthy son, Nathan, by his side in the kitchen, Chef Koval is an avid supporter of the National Kidney Foundation. The foundation is proud to be associated with both Chef Gottlich and Chef Koval in launching Bonne Sante’ and thanks them both for their untiring efforts in making it a reality each year.
Joining the chefs as a host this year is Edward Mendoza of Cucina 503.
Bonne Santé’s Food and Wine Showcase features unique tastings with wine pairings from these chefs and their restaurants as of today’s date: Matt Dallman, 18th & Vine Kansas City Barbeque; Robert Clifford, Nick and Sam’s; Scott Gottlich, The Second Floor by Scott Gottlich; Richard Hebben, XIX Nineteen Hyatt at The Bellevue; Sara Hooton, Central Market; William Koval, Lakewood Country Club; Shawn McClain, Sage Restaurant; Edward Mendoza, Cucina 503; Abraham Salum, Komali/Salum; Gianni Santin, Haute Sweets Patisserie; Ray Skradzinski, The Table; Marcus Strietzel, The Adolphus Hotel; Jason Weaver, Omni Dallas Hotel.
