Event honored and raised support for the Luke Laufenberg FIGHT Fund

 Al Biernat’s Oak Lawn hosted the 4th annual Live Like Luke coffee fundraiser on Thursday, May 16, 2024. The event brought together celebrities, friends and supporters to honor the life and legacy of Luke Laufenberg. Hosted at Al Biernat’s Oak Lawn and sponsored by Winston & Strawn LLP, the event raised support for the Luke Laufenberg FIGHT Fund, benefiting student-athletes at University of Texas El Paso.

Guests gathered, sipped coffee, and shared heartfelt memories, all in tribute to Luke. The event celebrated Luke’s memory while making a lasting impact through the FIGHT fund, which supports University of Texas El Paso student-athletes, ensuring Luke’s legacy of strength, passion, and resilience endures. Throughout the event, attendees enjoyed mushroom and ham quiche, yogurt parfaits, and tomato basil shots provided by Al Biernat’s.

Their presence emphasized the profound impact Luke’s story continues to have on the community.

Babe Laufenberg, the father of Luke Laufenberg and a driving force behind the fundraiser, expressed his gratitude to attendees and supporters. “It was such an honor to host the 4th Annual #LiveLikeLuke celebrity coffee fundraiser alongside generous donors and friends,” Laufenberg said. “Sincere thanks to Winston & Strawn LLP and Al Biernat’s Oak Lawn for making it possible. As we sipped coffee and shared stories, it felt like Luke was right there with us, his spirit filling the room with warmth and laughter.”
